The Great Wall is to only man-made structure visible from space, began construction in 7th century B.C.  The Great Wall was built to keep out the warring invaders of the north.  The total length nearly 4,000 miles long.

X'ian is home of the world-famous life-size Terra Cotta Warriors, unearthed in 1974 after being buried with the first Qin emperor for 22 centuries.  Some of the well known visitors include Queen Elizabeth II, President Ronald Regan, most recently President Bill Clinton and Mr. Bill Gates of Microsoft.
